BOSTON TEA'S PRIVACY POLICY

 
You and the protection of your personal information are important to us at the Boston Tea Company. We collect the necessary information for use with completing your order. The Boston Tea Company's customer service representatives will NEVER call you to obtain your credit card number. We only use your telephone number to notify you about the status of your order. We DO NOT use your phone number to make soliciting calls.
 
The Boston Tea Company gives you the option to receive our monthly newsletter, marketing material about our new products, and special offers, which are sent periodically through e-mail or regular mail. We DO NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Should the Boston Tea Company be required to provide your personal information for lawful reasons, then it is our duty to comply.

When you make an online purchase or start an account at www.bostontea.com, all of your personal information, including your credit card number, is secure through this system. SSL garbles your personal information when it is transmitted across the Internet. Thus, it is protected against people who have unauthorized access.

When you place an order with the Boston Tea Company, whether it is by phone, fax, e-mail, or online, we require your name, contact phone number, e-mail address, the name and billing address of your credit card, its expiration date, CVV, and your shipping address, if different than your billing. With this personal data, we are able to efficiently complete the orders we receive, and notify you about their status.
 
 
Personal Account
We want you to be a part of our passion for tea, therefore, the Boston Tea Company has provided you with the option to join our tea-loving crew by opening an online account. It is not necessary to open an account to place an order with us, or to peruse the web site.
 
If you choose to become a member, it is free! Your login information, including your password, is secure to our site. It is not shared with other people.
 
When you start a personal account with the Boston Tea Company, you are invited to receive our monthly newsletter, promotions, and information about our new products. This is completely optional.
